Bespoke Special Occasion Outfits

We find there is a misconception that when someone says ‘bespoke’ or ‘unique’ people always think there is a higher price tag attached to it. If you buy items from some of the lower value stores then yes they will be cheaper than bespoke items. However, they may not show off the best features of your figure, they may not make you feel amazing and they may not last more than one event.

If you have an important event coming up, then why not take the time to create something that both makes you feel so confident and glamorous and is value for money as we can create a unique outfit to suit multiple occasions, meaning value for money. When an item of clothing is tailored to your body shape and style, it has more meaning as an outfit and can help you feel the best you.

Did you know…

We have regular clients that have everyday wear made because they cant find outfits that fit them perfectly, these clients vary in size, shape and some have disabilities for example wheelchair bound or limbs missing. We have recently been asked to make school trousers, school wear for very tall children so they fit them. If you feel you can't find the right outfit for you then give our team a call.

Evening, Races & Special Occasions

Evening events and the races have become quite the fashion show, it seems attendees want to fall under two categories;

1 - To be seen in the best outfit on the event.

2 - Just to look downright stunning.

Our unique outfits can be tailored to both if required. Comfort is essential and when a bespoke item of clothing is created around your own personal body shape and style it feels like a second skin and extremely comfortable.

Stuck for inspiration? During an informal chat, Sarah and her team can offer support throughout the process from style and design to the choice of fabric.  Sarah can even draw a rough sketch whilst with you to get the ball rolling.

Social media really has put a lot of aesthetic pressure on today's younger generation, they feel under pressure to look their best when really they should just dress in a way that they feel comfortable. A prom or end of year party is a way for them to express themselves through their attire both in formal dress or tailored suit format.

Proms & Younger Events

The ‘wow’ factor seems to be the way most of the prom outfits are heading towards. Although recently Thimbelina’s team have been asked to make some stunning, lower key prom dresses. Either way all you need to do is book a consultation and bring along the prom attendee for a fitting and discussion around style, textures and materials. Any questions can be answered there and then, the team could even knock up a rough draft as to how the dress or suit will look.

Christenings & Communions

One of the most common requests the team at Thimbelina receive, is to upcycle a wedding dress worn by the mother into a christening or communion gown for their child. We can do quite a lot with a wedding dress once the wedding day is over. We have upcycled them into evening dresses and christening or communion gowns. It’s important that the child looks the best on their special day and if you have taken the time to create your own wedding dress with ourselves, then upcycling it for them makes it extra special as you know it’s been made with love.

Every child is different and the age they are christened or experience communion can massively vary. We suggest booking in a consultation with the team and they can help you with style, design, fabrics and textures. Like all our bespoke creations we take our time to ensure the client receives the exact outfit they are looking for before the big event.
